Main research fields: Mainly engaging in the research of early life and Precambrian to early Paleozoic stratum. He has directed and participated in more than 10 national projects, published 60 academic works (including 40 SCI and domestic core papers as the first author) and a number of popular science articles and works. In 2007, he won the second prize of scientific and technological achievements of the Ministry of Land and Resources; his latest research results in 2008 and 2011 respectively winning top ten scientific and technological progress of Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences/China Geological Survey.
